Turkey Wings Recipe

Buffalo Turkey Wings

Yield: 4 Servings

Ingredients

4 turkey wings, about 5 lbs
3/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 ts salt
1 ts cayenne pepper
1 vegetable oil
6 tb butter, melted
2 tb distilled white vinegar
2 tb hot red pepper sauce


Instructions

Cut off wing tips; reserve for other use. Cut wing into 2 pieces at joint. Combine flour, salt and cayenne pepper on a plate. Dust wings in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Heat 1-1/2 inches of oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add wings in single layer and fry, turning once, until browned, 10 minutes; drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining wings. Combine butter, vinegar, and hot pepper sauce. Place wings in a large baking pan; drizzle on sauce over wings. Bake in 375 oven, 1 hour, basting 4 or 5 times, turning once, until wings are browned. Serves 4.

Simple Turkey Recipe

Easy Turkey Chili

Yield: 8 Servings

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey breast; cooked
1/2 c onions; chopped
1/2 c bell peppers; chopped
1/4 c celery; sliced
1/2 ts olive oil
15 oz dark red kidney beans; undrained
14 1/2 oz crushed tomatoes
1 3/4 c water
6 oz tomato paste
1 tb worcestershire sauce
1 ts chili powder
1 ts salt
1/4 ts garlic powder


Instructions

Place turkey, onions, bell peppers, and celery in a large skillet with oil. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring and separating turkey as it cooks. Add beans, tomatoes, water, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

Turkey Breast Crock Pot Recipe

Frozen Turkey Breast In The Crock Pot

Instructions

Place your frozen turkey breast in your crock pot (no additional liquid added). Open a can of cranberries and place on top of the turkey. Sprinkle with a package of Lipton Onion Soup. Put on the cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. The thawing of the turkey provides enough moisture to cook and the cranberry sauce and onion soup makes a nice sauce.

Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles and a salad for a simple, quick meal.

Turkey Lasagna Recipe

Turkey Lasagna

Yield: 10 Servings

Ingredients

6 lasagna noodles; cooked and drained


SAUCE:

3/4 lb ground turkey breast; cooked and drained
1 c bell peppers; chopped
1 c onion; chopped
2 cloves garlic; minced
1 cn (7.5-oz) stewed tomatoes; undrained
1 cn (8-oz) no-salt-added tomato sauce
1 cn (6-oz) tomato paste
2 ts basil
2 ts oregano
1 ts salt
1 1/4 ts black pepper


FILLING:

2 egg whites; whipped
2 c fat-free cottage cheese
1/4 c fat-free parmesan cheese
1 tb parsley
8 oz fat-free mozzarella cheese; grated
1/4 c fat-free parmesan cheese


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; set aside to cool. To prepare sauce, cook turkey, onions, bell peppers, and garlic in a saucepan until meat is longer pink and vegetables are tender. Drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes; stirring occasionally. To prepare filling, combine egg whites, cottage cheese, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, and parsley. Layer half of the cooked noodles in a 12 x 7 x 2" pan. Spread half of the filling mixture. Top with half of the sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese. Bake for 35 minutes or until heated through. Per serving: 362 Calories; 3g Fat (8% calories from fat); 30g Protein; 51g Carbohydrate; 28mg Cholesterol; 796mg Sodium.

Bacon Turkey Recipe

Sugared Turkey Bacon

Yield: 1 Serving


Ingredients

1 tb brown sugar
1 tb frozen egg substitute, thawed
1 1/2 ts low-sodium Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 ts spicy brown mustard
6 sl turkey bacon
1/2 c dry breadcrumbs


Instructions

Combine first 4 ingredients. Dip bacon into mxture; dredge in breadcrumbs. Place on rack of a broiler pan. Bake at 350ΓΈ for 20 minutes. Yield: 6 slices.
